-The purpose of the Columbus Church of Christ benevolence fund is to provide financial aid to an individual during a time of financial crisis. It is not intended to be used for long-term financial support.
-We do not discriminate against applicants based upon race, color, sex, national origin, age, geographic territory, or disability.
-A benevolence request form must be filled out by each applicant. The IRS requires the church to keep documentation on individuals the church has helped. This information is kept confidential and on file in the church office.
-Please attach the relevant documentation (bills, invoices, eviction notices, paychecks, etc.) that support the request.
-We aim to make decisions and communicate them in a timely manner.
-Checks will be made payable only to the service provider (e.g.  utility co., rental agency, mortage co. etc) We do not give out cash.
-If you are assisted by our benevolence, please consider a financial contribution when you are economically capable. This ensures that others can be helped when their need arises.
